Sound for drama, commercial and documentary.

As a sound person with over 10 years of experience in sound production, I’ve been honored to have helped define the sonic storytelling of Belgians and internationals productions.

Work Philosophy

As an image transmits a look and color of a film, I record sounds that express the emotions and characteristics of the action on screen (the way a character’s voice trembles when speaking to his lost love to a violent bang of a door slam made out of hunger). These are just some pieces I want to transmit to post-production that express the trajectory and emotional tone of an audio-visual story.
Being a technical nerd, I’m up to date on the latest equipment on the market. I’m am thrilled by the challenge to find the best ways to achieve the sound recording that is needed for a project.

History

After studying sound at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion in Belgium in 2011, I immediately found work in live music, orchestra setups and musical tours (« A Fiddler on the Roof » « and « Sound of Music », coproduced by the PBA of Charleroi; as an sound assistant) . At the same time, I worked on many short films and furthered my desire to work on film as a production sound mixer.

In 2015, I begon to work as a location sound recordist on the dailyshow « L’invitation » of the RTBF (Belgian national television) and many other doc-reality production.

In 2017, I gained my first feature film credit as a boom operator (In the name of the Land, featuring Gillaume Canet and Veerle Baetens) and day played as a sound mixer on the RTBF series Public Enemy and Unit 42 (both available on Netflix)

After being in charge of the sound recording of the first season in 2020; last year, I wrapped Baraki season 2 for the RTBF and kicked off 2023 mainly with commercials and a documentary series about construction work who was aired in June 2023 on the RTBF.

Can’t wait to know what’s next and looking forward to collaborating with you soon.
